"Perched upon his throne of magma, the Lord of Flame casts judgement unto the mortals. His Hellfire incinerates flesh and bone to naught but ash.

His mountain sits at a level high enough to reach the Gods in the heavens. Any adventurer foolhardy enough to climb its slopes and reach the top are welcomed by a thousand-foot gap of pure magma, where the Angry Lord emerges to wage war unto the judged."

I'm very damned proud of this piece, and I can say without exaggerating it's one of my best. I pulled out all the stops here; looked at countless references for lighting and lava flow, made sure the hand holding the flame looked right (even posing for it myself), and above all, try to create a beast so awe-inspiringly large, only a mountain could contain him.

I made him draconian in appearance, as dragons are an obvious avatar of fire. I also made him look slightly similar to traditional depictions of the Devil. It's subtle and not overbearing, for a more symbolic effect. I feel as if the ruler of Hell would be a great way to symbolize a Fire Colossus, as I'm sure we can agree you're in for one HELL of a fight!

It reminds me (when just glancing at it) of both Infernape and Agunimon, due to shared properties.

Although it bears these similarities, that is not a bad thing. It is just coincidence, really: it is an amazing, original design on its own, and has many more features that neither Japanese monster shares.

Those Alien (or was it Predator?) bottom teeth are a nice, alienlike touch.

This is an amazing, excellent picture. It is flawless and professional. It inspires awe in me; therefore, it truly is awesome.

Not familiar with Agunimon, but I can kinda see what you are getting at.

Thanks, I loved the lower jaw teeth too. And it was Predator you're thinking of.
